Sun Java Web Proxy Server 4.0 software & documentation.
Sun Java System Web Proxy Server is a dual-purpose forward and reverse proxy designed to improve Web security and reduce network congestion. As a reverse proxy, the Java System Web Proxy Server adds an additional layer of security to Web infrastructures, protecting backend Web servers (e.g., Java System Web Server, Microsoft IIS, Apache) and improving overall Web site response times through caching and load balancing. As a forward proxy, the Java System Web Proxy Server acts as a network traffic manager, providing distributed caching services and using dynamic proxy routing to reduce network traffic and user wait times. Fine-grained filtering and client transaction logging provide additional control and auditing of network traffic. Media Kit sold separately.
